As Sr. Brand Designer on the marketing team at AWeber, one of my biggest projects was leading the redesign and development of AWeber marketing site. I approached the project with the limitation in mind that leadership did not want a total departure of the old brand colors and aesthetic, but wanted an evolution. I designed and developed the core pages as seen below and set up a split test to validate the redesign's effectiveness. The pages saw a substantial increase in account creation and have maintained the improved conversion rate since public launch.
While at Red Ventures I redesigned the online consumer choice energy plan aggregator, ChooseEnergy.com. The website redesign included designing a new logo, creating a design library to rebuild the 80+ unique SEO templates, a new cart flow, and incorporating Red Venture's proprietary AI chat platform.
My goals for the design were to streamline the site design, create a comprehensive design library with content blocks that allowed for easy iteration and manipulation, and completely rethink and redesign the energy plan marketplace.
I designed the completed site in under a month and after it launched, ChooseEnergy saw a 6% increase in plan activations.
As a part of the AWeber brand refresh, I wanted to re-introduce AWeber's mascot, Commander AJ, and also give him a cast of supporting characters to play off of and interact within illustrations. So I created The Automations. The Automations are a cast of robot characters that help AJ in communicating to the user visually. They also bring a sense of friendly playfulness and authority to the AWeber brand with authentic and original brand imagery.
LendingTree, the online loan exchange marketplace, launched its rebrand in early 2018. To celebrate the rebrand and the company's core principles, I was asked to create a set of posters that would be put up around the LendingTree headquarter office in Charlotte, NC.
Having free rein on the art direction, I decided to go with a 3D illustration style. Overall the posters took about 2 weeks from concept to completion. Below are the completed illustrations (without text overly).
While working at Red Ventures I had the privilege of joining a skunkworks team to pitch Hulu on a partnership deal. My end of the work involved collaborating with a copywriter to design a set of landing pages for both the SEO and paid search ends of the pitch. Below are some of the designs I created.
Quick Note* This project was done before Hulu went through their rebrand. The designs below were created following their old brand design standards.
After the launch of the LendingTree rebrand, I helped redesign a ton of landing pages and brand pages. One of the initiatives I was happy to take on was launching LendingTree's blog. Surprisingly, LendingTree had articles on the site already but they were not accessible from a single newsstand like the homepage. Instead, they could only be reached through their embedded links on targeted landing pages. This seemed like a pretty big oversight. To further increase LendingTree's authority in the financial news and explainer space, the CMO and editorial team of LendingTree decided it was time to build LendingTree a legitimate blog homepage, and revamp the existing single post page templates.
Below are samples of the blog index and post templates I designed. You can also visit https://www.lendingtree.com/blog to see the real thing.
GoodCall.com is a recommendation engine focused on helping users make smart life choices backed by data. The main target audience is young adults going into or currently enrolled in college. In an attempt to broaden GoodCall's recommendation offerings, a mover's portal was developed to help college students find affordable packing and moving options. I lead the UX/UI design of the project, creating a search toolbar and offers listing index that allowed users to compare, refine, and accept mover quotes.
The project and my work was later absorbed by the USPS partner site, MyMove.com
One of my hobbies is sculpting/modeling 3d characters from popular movies, TVs, and video games. It helps me unwind and keeps me working on creative projects. Here is a small collection of some of my favorite 3d character portraits.

LendingTree is the oldest and still the largest online lending marketplace. More and more competitors are coming out of the woods every year but LendingTree has remained at the top of the food chain. But the journey to where the company stands today hasn't always been steady or consistent. LendingTree used to actually offer loans to consumers, and some of the people who get to LendingTree website still believe the company is a lender, rather than a vast network that links lenders to lendees. To help consumers truly understand what it is LendingTree does today, I designed this 'About Us' page to help tell the story of LendingTree and give consumers a fuller picture of the company. I also built the animated prototype (in Principle) seen in below to help present the animation flow of the page to the front-end development team.
